This project was something very special! One of 2282 produced Porsche 964 RS came to us with the desire to enable a 🗺 navigation system and a good 🔊 sound 🎶.
However, it is estimated that 80% of the vehicles have suffered accidents, so an original vehicle like this with just 63,000km and even a RUF performance upgrade are absolute rarities.
Weighing in at 1225kg, the car comes standard with a roll cage, sport seats, 17-inch magnesium cup wheels (which are almost impossible to buy these days) and plenty of driving fun.
Acoustically, of course, the special 11 is a challenge, since all insulation has been omitted to save weight.
In order not to impair the value of this unique piece, all components have been installed in such a way that they can be reset at any time without leaving any residue.
An Alpine navigation device delivers all the conveniences from modern vehicles, such as 📞 hands-free speaking, 🎶 streaming and 🗺navigation, but also many other features. 🔉165mm low-mid speakers 🔉 were installed in the doors to provide the necessary sonorous low tones. Tweeters were installed in the area of the roll bar so that they shine directly on the driver and passenger and thus still provide a great sound in this demanding environment.
The entire system is powered by an extremely compact but very powerful DSP amplifier with 240W power, so that musical fun is guaranteed even while driving. By means of directional microphones and the subsequent individual tuning to the vehicle conditions and the customer's wishes, an optimal sound experience could be created.
